Iliffe Arts provide a specialist service in physical expression, visual arts and performing arts, to empower people to be confident, be proud of their identity and reach their full potential.
In a nut shell, we offer workshops and courses within both performing arts and visual arts, to help raise self-esteem, confidence and ultimately life/ academic achievement. This also includes swimming tuition. Click here to find out more about our specialist areas.
We can also create specially designed programmes to support the needs of all different groups of vulnerable adults, children and young people to make a positive impact on their lives.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like to discuss how Iliffe Arts can make a positive difference to someone you know or work with. Contact us for more information.
I am the Founder and Managing Director of Iliffe Arts (I Love Arts) and decided to call the social enterprise business after my adopted family name. I was lucky enough to be adopted as a baby and supported as a child growing up by my amazing parents Anne Iliffe and my late father Richard Iliffe (Dick Iliffe) 20th July 1948 – 31st Oct 2005.
They have always supported me through many life challenges, particularly growing up in a rural area of Leicestershire as the only non white child in the school. I always struggled academically and was only diagnosed with dyslexia, aged 17. Because of this my parents always supported me by sitting through the dance shows, taking me to rehearsal several times a week and sweating at the swimming pool whilst shouting me on in galas most Saturday evenings.
By encouraging me to take part in the Arts and physical activity, this gave me confidence and determination as well as teaching me the skills to be able to achieve, believe in my abilities and strengths. I now want to use my talents and experiences to support as many people as possible to do the same and carry on the Iliffe Arts legacy.
