The CACH Alternative Education Project aims to inspire, build resilience, and empower Children of African and Caribbean Heritage to reach their full potential. Students will work with us at our workshop space at the Linwood Centre for one day a week with our experienced passionate team of African Caribbean role models/ expressive arts tutors.
Through visual and performing arts the programme will:
- Develop pride and build aspirations through studying positive role models within their lives, communities and the public.
- Develop soft transferable skills through communication, positive body language, and team work. Increase expressive verbal and visual self-awareness.
- Celebrate the CACH student’s strengths, building their resilience, self-esteem and self-efficacy.
As part of the Alternative Education programme, we also run the CACH Enrichment Course these offer schools a chance to see how the programme works and the kind of activities on offer. The sessions can be delivered at both secondary and primary establishments and would take place over a series of half days for up to 10 children. This set up is flexible and can be arranged to suit you.
Contact us to discuss which programme will best suit your students, school or education establishment.
Our vision is for all CACH students to become positive role models for their peers and future generations and to reach their full potential and FLY.
